Health Camps and Awareness Programs: KAHS actively organizes health camps and awareness initiatives to promote health education and preventive care among the rural population. These programs aim to identify health disparities and develop innovative solutions through community engagement.

Community-Based Teaching and Learning: The academy's educational programs emphasize a community-based approach, considering the ethnic, traditional beliefs, and existing health practices of the people. This approach ensures that health professionals are trained to work effectively within the cultural context of the communities they serve.

🎓 Educational Initiatives Supporting Community Health

Bachelor of Public Health (BPH): KAHS offers a four-year Bachelor of Public Health program, including six months of practical training in the final year. This program prepares students to address public health challenges, emphasizing skills essential for community health practice, such as health promotion, disease prevention, and health system management.

Certificate Programs in General Medicine and Nursing: The academy provides certificate-level programs aimed at developing self-reliant and committed health professionals capable of delivering quality healthcare services in rural communities. These programs focus on preventive and therapeutic measures, effective communication, and community mobilization.

🤝 Collaborations and Capacity Building

Partnerships with Local Governments and NGOs: KAHS collaborates with local governments, NGOs, and other stakeholders to address public health issues. These partnerships aim to strengthen the rural healthcare delivery system and promote health equity in the region. pathyakrama.com
